Please do note that a rolled canvas has to be stretched before it can be mounted on a wall. A rolled
canvas is ideal if you want more freedom to plan the stretching and framing of your painting

Meet the CEO/
Curator
Dr. Ikenna Obumneme Aghanya is an Artist, Researcher, Gallery owner and an Art lecturer. He had his secondary education at the Federal Govt. College Enugu from 1983 – 1989. In 1990 he was admitted to study Fine Arts at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. He graduated with honours in 1995, specializing in Graphics/Advertising Designs. He worked as a Graphic Designer for NICONENG Limited from 1996 – 1999. In 1999 he was awarded a scholarship to study for an MFA Degree in Fine & Applied Arts at the College of Fine Arts, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Metro Manila, the Philippines. He graduated in 2001, specializing in Computer Graphics. He obtained his PhD from the Imo State University, Owerri, Nigeria in 2018, specializing in Studio Arts (Graphics).
He is presently a Chief Lecturer at the Department of Fine & Applied Arts, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Nigeria. He single-handedly set-up the Computer Graphics Laboratory in the Department and was the Head of the Graphics Section in the Fine and Applied Arts department, he was one-time the Director of Conferences & Seminar in the Polytechnic and he just completed his three year tenure as the first elected Academic Dean of the School of Arts, Design and Printing Technology in the same institution.
As an accomplished artist, Ikenna has participated in Art Exhibitions and Academic Conferences in Nigeria, Ghana, Brunei, the Philippines, the UK, the USA, New Zealand and Korea. He has many scholarly publications under his belt and he has also published many Academic books.
He belongs to a number of International and Local Art organizations, most notably the E-Art Philippines, CFA Alumini group (University of the Philippines), Nigerian Association of Graphic Designers (NAGD), The Society of Nigerian Artists (SNA), Igbo Studies Association USA, Institute of Entrepreneurship (IOE) just to mention a few. He is also the C.E.O/Art Curator at Shaky’s Art Gallery, C.E.O PrintPlus Ltd (a Graphic Design firm), C&H Designs (a Web Design Company) and Amerigo Foods Ltd.
Apart from producing Artworks, Ikenna does a lot of Art Curating and Consultancy for institutions, private collectors and corporate organizations.
He is happily married with children.
